I have chosen the music video Frank Hamilton - “summer” for
my preliminary video.
Amplification song:
This is a long shot of an Over the shoulder point of view
shot where the audience can see what Frank Hamilton is looking at as he walks
through the town and the camera is handheld as it shakes slightly as if the audience are looking as another person following behind Frank.
This is an establishing shot and is the second during the
music promo. This shot is also a handheld as the camera shakes a lot as it
follows the young boy. It also is a long shot of the back of the boy and the
audience can’t see his face but know he links to Frank as it is a repeat of the
first shot but with new scenery.
This shot is a mid-shot of the young boy’s face as he is revealed
from the shot of his back. This shot enables the audience to see his facial
expressions as he walks alone along a path.
This shot reveals the face of the singer from the song and
appears to match the young boy with a similar face but older looking. This is a
mid-shot which is similar to the previous of the young boy resembling similar
features towards the audience. He is standing behind a screen and is reflecting
images of trees and fields playing linking to the narrative of a ‘summer theme.’
This shot is a medium shot of Frank sitting down and he is
not looking directly at the camera as he does in the previous shots adding a
sense of mystery as is seems to be from the past. This scene uses a lot of
small cuts resembling time passing as he sits down multiple times wearing
different clothing per time. This could
represent summer travelling fast over the short period of time.
This is a high angle shot of the café Frank is sitting in. The
shot is sped up so the audience can see that time is passing really quickly in
the short clip and what the characters in the café are doing with their lives
such as reading a newspaper or eating food.
