The N.W.A is an American hip-hop group from America in their late 80’s. This cover includes the group staring down at the viewer with a gun pointed straight at them. This gives the initial feel of gang’s in the 1980’s and who their music is aimed at which is teenagers who familiarize with the groups age too. The cover title is red which could symbolise the threat they pose towards the viewer. The white text is very jagged and has a rough appearance which looks like scruffy handwriting which could link to the group’s gang with little education and writing skills so they become similar to the viewers by having similar handwriting to them.

Pendulum is an Australian/British group who make electric/drum and bass music and formed in 2002. Their alum ‘In Silico’ is effective as an album cover because it adheres the colours of album cover with red, yellow, blue and green which really stand out towards the audience in its circle shape. The imagery behind this cover appears to be a baby in the centre surrounded by the egg in an electronic form. This is very different from other album covers as the audience can’t see the band members and the cover is the opposite of minimalistic with a lot of different things going on in the background.

The prodigy is an English electronic dance group. The Prodigy used this effective album cover because it represents their music very well. This follows the conventions of the band as the face symbolises a metallic howl of the singer and it is made of electronic/metal linking to the genre of music to create. It breaks the conventions of a typical album cover with its lack of colours and imagery and describes who it is aimed at on the cover. The text is black and white and stands out very boldly in a curved shape. This adheres what the Prodigy are aiming for which is confusion and boldness which is the face on the cover.
